Panetta stated, “Elon Musk’s DOGE team attempting to defy a federal court order to access the private Social Security data of millions of Americans is a serious breach of our privacy. I’m working in Congress to stop these abuses, protect your data and your rights, and investigate this.”
Later that day, Panetta expressed his honor in attending a ceremony dedicated to victims in Monterey County.
