U.S. Representative Jimmy Panetta, who serves California’s 19th district in Congress, recently addressed several national and international issues through a series of posts on his social media account.
On October 13, 2025, Panetta shared his official remarks regarding the situation in Israel, stating: “My full statement on the release of Israeli hostages: https://t.co/sDj67vtcXv”.
Continuing his commentary on Middle East affairs, Panetta posted on October 14, 2025: “Although President Trump’s speech in the Knesset celebrated the return of the hostages, the war in Gaza is not over. The Plight of the Palestinian people must be remedied and peace cannot take hold until Hamas is fully dismantled, its capacity to wage terror eliminated, and a”.
Shifting focus to domestic concerns later that day, Panetta highlighted agricultural challenges during a government shutdown: “Many farmers and growers across the country are having difficulty getting the resources that they need to keep their farms going during this shutdown. It’s past time for the Majority to come to the negotiating table for farmers in CA-19 and across the country.”
Panetta has represented California’s 19th District since 2017 after succeeding Sam Farr. He was born in Washington, D.C., in 1969 and currently resides in Carmel Valley. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from UC Davis and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University.
