Rep. Jimmy Panetta, who represents California’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on social media addressing key policy issues and local developments.
On October 3, 2025, Panetta discussed U.S. military aid to Ukraine, stating: “Last month, I joined my colleagues in the House and Senate to press the Secretary of Defense to allow Ukraine to use long-range arms against Russian military assets that fuel Putin’s war inside Ukraine. President Trump now is allowing the U.S. to aid Ukraine in these strikes. We”.
Later that day, he addressed a local achievement for Lake Nacimiento: “I am proud to have helped Lake Nacimiento achieve community recognition within ZIP Code 93462 by the U.S. Postal Service. For too long, the people in this community faced confusion with emergency services, medical care, and basic public resources. Now that they have community”.
On October 4, 2025, Panetta turned his attention to federal assistance programs during a government shutdown: “During a shutdown, many Americans who rely on SNAP benefits are wondering how they will be impacted. Families already signed up for SNAP WILL receive their benefits this October. Leaders in our government need to come together and end this shutdown so that the millions of working”.
