U.S. Representative Jimmy Panetta, who has served California’s 19th district since 2017, recently posted a series of updates on his legislative priorities via social media. The posts highlighted his ongoing efforts to address healthcare costs, support for local agricultural producers affected by tariffs, and bipartisan work on retirement planning legislation.

On December 13, 2025, Panetta shared an update regarding healthcare policy: “Update on my fight to lower your healthcare costs: https://t.co/E7HnBXn4is”.

Later that same day, he addressed the impact of federal tariffs on California’s agricultural sector in another post: “California growers and producers have been hit especially hard by this Administration’s tariffs, and specialty crops are often left out of the picture when it comes to receiving aid. Our Specialty Crop and Wine Producer Tariff Relief Act would help our growers in CA-19 who have” (December 13, 2025).

On December 14, 2025, Panetta announced his involvement in bipartisan retirement legislation: “Our seniors deserve clarity as they plan for their retirements. That’s why I helped introduce the bipartisan Retirement Simplification and Clarity Act with @RepLaHood.
