Monterey County Sheriff investigates drive-by shooting in Boronda area

Deputies from the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a drive-by shooting that took place on December 25, 2025, in the Boronda area of Salinas. The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on the 400 block of Cranford Road.

According to authorities, deputies responded to reports of gunfire and found that multiple shots had been fired from a passing vehicle. The gunfire struck several vehicles and an occupied residence. No injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from anyone who was in the area or observed suspicious activity at the time of the incident. Residents and businesses are also encouraged to review any available video surveillance that could help identify those involved.
