On December 15, 2025, law enforcement responded to an in-progress burglary at a cannabis greenhouse facility on Encinal Road in Salinas, California. According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, about 10 individuals were reported breaking into the facility and loading marijuana into four vehicles.
Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene with assistance from the Salinas Police Department and California Highway Patrol. Law enforcement located all four vehicles near Encinal Road and Old Stage Road. None of the vehicles stopped for police; three were eventually stopped after multiple occupants fled on foot. One vehicle became stuck in a field, another ended up in a ditch, and a third collided with a CHP vehicle. The fourth vehicle was able to evade officers.
Authorities arrested eight adults and one juvenile in connection with the incident. The adults were booked into Monterey County Jail, while the juvenile was taken to Monterey County Juvenile Hall. Those identified include Jalen Camp (23), Zakhiry Coleman (18), Chales Hall (21), Cory Woodruff (28), Jonathan Green (24), Jose Velasco (18), Dominic Logan (30), and Dominick Leon Troupe (30). Bail amounts ranged from $35,000 to $70,000 where listed.
Charges for those arrested include burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of stolen property, possession of loaded firearm, among others.
