The following day, March 24, 2025, he criticized the Trump administration’s decision to suspend over $1 billion in federal food aid. According to him, “The Trump administration’s recent suspension of over $1 billion in federal food aid is an affront to families in CA-19 and nationwide.” He emphasized that these cuts could jeopardize essential programs supporting schools, food banks, and local farmers.
Later on March 24th, Rep. Panetta visited the Evergreen Studio of Music & the Arts (ESOMA) in South San Jose.
