Rep. Jimmy Panetta, who has been serving California’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, shared updates on his upcoming engagements and legislative discussions via social media posts earlier this month.
On July 5, Panetta announced that he would be holding in-person office hours in South San Jose on Monday, July 7th. “Accountability means showing up,” he stated. The session aims to assist constituents with federal agency issues or community concerns. He encouraged individuals to request a slot for the meeting.
Two days later, on July 7, Panetta informed his followers about an upcoming town hall scheduled for Tuesday. This event will feature experts discussing the President’s partisan reconciliation tax bill and its impact on California’s 19th Congressional District, particularly focusing on projected healthcare cuts.
Continuing his efforts to engage with constituents, Panetta hosted another event the following day. On July 8, he invited people to join a telephone town hall where experts would talk about the impacts of the recently signed reconciliation tax bill on healthcare within the district.
Panetta was born in Washington D.C., currently resides in Carmel Valley, and holds degrees from UC Davis and Santa Clara University School of Law.
