U.S. Representative Jimmy Panetta, who serves California’s 19th district, announced on social media that he will be holding office hours in South San Jose on Monday, October 20.
In a post dated October 17, 2025, Panetta wrote, “Monday, October 20, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, I will be holding office hours in South San Jose. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on issues, ask questions, or seek assistance with federal agencies like Social Security, Medicare, or Veterans Affairs.” The congressman also provided a link for constituents to request a meeting during these office hours: “Request a meeting during office hours here: https://t.co/v0AJN3fO2g”.
However, Panetta cautioned that due to anticipated high demand not all requests may be accommodated. In the same series of posts on October 17 he stated: “Please note, we anticipate a high number of submissions, so we may not be able to fulfill all requests. Submitting a meeting request through the online form does not guarantee that you will have an appointment. If we are able to offer you a meeting, you will be contacted by”.
Jimmy Panetta has represented California’s 19th district in Congress since replacing Sam Farr in 2017 and is currently based in Carmel Valley. Born in Washington D.C. in 1969 and now aged 53, Panetta holds degrees from the University of California, Davis and Santa Clara University School of Law.
