Rep. Jimmy Panetta, who represents California’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his engagement with local communities and businesses through a series of social media posts.
On November 3, 2025, Panetta acknowledged the Lake Nacimiento community’s new postal designation, stating, “Great to meet with members of our Lake Nacimiento community to celebrate their new U.S. Postal Service zip code designation status. Proud that I was able to get USPS to do their job and grant the community the proper zip code.”
Later that day, he turned his attention to small businesses, posting on social media: “I am proud to support our small businesses through my work in Congress. I was fortunate to meet the owners of a local Italian restaurant. Thank you to our small business owners for creating jobs, serving people, and being the heartbeat of our community.” This message underscored his ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurship and job creation within his district.
Continuing his outreach on November 4, 2025, Panetta shared insights from a meeting with a local rancher: “Glad I got the opportunity to connect with a local rancher to hear about ways Congress can help our ranchers and producers. Our cattlemen are essential components of our CA-19 economy, and I am committed to advocating for them through my work in D.C.”
Panetta has represented California’s 19th District since 2017 after succeeding Sam Farr as its congressional representative (https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/P000613). Born in Washington, D.C., in 1969 and currently residing in Carmel Valley, Panetta holds degrees from the University of California, Davis (BA) and Santa Clara University (JD).
