Rep. Jimmy Panetta, who has represented California’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently highlighted local events and community achievements through a series of posts on his social media account.
On May 7, 2026, Panetta shared his support for two local organizations by visiting a winery fundraiser. He posted: “Glad I had the chance to visit a CA-19 winery to support their fundraiser for a local humane society. Great to support two impactful local organizations at once!”
Later that day, he recognized Jewish American Heritage Month with a message directed at his constituents in California’s 19th Congressional District. On May 7, 2026, he wrote: “Happy Jewish American Heritage Month CA-19! This month and every month, we honor the contributions of Jewish Americans in the 19th Congressional District and across the country.”
In another post on May 7, 2026, Panetta congratulated Felix Cortez for three decades of service at KSBW. He stated: “A big congratulations to Felix Cortez for 30 years at KSBW. Now more than ever, it is critical that the people of California’s 19th Congressional District have access to reliable, informed, and local news, and the Central Coast is better for Felix’s three decades of dedication”.
Panetta has served as the congressional representative for California’s 19th district since replacing Sam Farr in 2017. Born in Washington D.C. in 1969 and currently residing in Carmel Valley, Panetta holds degrees from UC Davis (BA) and Santa Clara University (JD).
