City of Marina issued the following announcement on Nov 12.
Interested individuals for City Commission must be residents and registered voters of the City of Marina.
Although applications may be submitted at any time, the filing deadline to interview for these openings is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2020, postmarks will be accepted.
Applications are available from the Office of the City Clerk located at 211 Hillcrest Avenue, Marina, California between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, calling 884-1278, or on the City of Marina website: www.cityofmarina.org
Interviews will be coordinated between January 4th thru January 22, 2021. Final approval of appointments by the City Council is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
v Planning Commission: 1 seat (expiring 2022) and 4 seats (expiring February 2023)
The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council regarding the overall coordination of land use in the city and shall specifically perform those duties described in the ordinances and codes of the city. The Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
