Rep. Jimmy Panetta, serving California's 19th Congressional District, recently expressed concerns regarding various federal policies and their impacts. Panetta, known for his commitment to community welfare and economic stability, addressed these issues via Twitter on April 3, 2025.

Panetta criticized the current administration's tariff policies, emphasizing their negative consequences. "My colleagues and I stood together to call out the tariff policies coming from this Administration. These tariffs aren’t just bluster anymore, they’re a stark reality that will drive up prices, hurt businesses, and harm working families. Consumers will feel the impact with", he stated on April 3, 2025.

In another post, Panetta shed light on the significance of food programs and his efforts to reverse potentially harmful cuts. "Supporting local farmers. Feeding families in need. Strengthening our communities. That’s what these food programs do. That’s why I led a bipartisan effort urging USDA to reverse its reckless cuts and keep food flowing to those who need it most." This tweet, shared on the same day, underscores Panetta's advocacy for community welfare.

The potential impact of Medicaid cuts was also a topic of concern for Panetta, who brought together healthcare leaders to discuss the issue. "I brought together local health care leaders to discuss the devastating impact of potential cuts to Medicaid in Speaker Johnson’s reconciliation budget. Many in California’s 19th Congressional District could lose access to health care under proposed $880 billion cuts to Medicaid.", Panetta highlighted in his tweet posted on April 3, 2025.
