On March 23, 2025, Rep. Panetta expressed appreciation for engaging with a local veteran who continues to contribute positively to the community. He stated, "Always good to meet with a local veteran who speaks with candor and continues to contribute to our community."

The following day, March 24, 2025, he criticized the Trump administration's decision to suspend over $1 billion in federal food aid. According to him, "The Trump administration's recent suspension of over $1 billion in federal food aid is an affront to families in CA-19 and nationwide." He emphasized that these cuts could jeopardize essential programs supporting schools, food banks, and local farmers.

Later on March 24th, Rep. Panetta visited the Evergreen Studio of Music & the Arts (ESOMA) in South San Jose. He praised their educational efforts by stating: "Visited Evergreen Studio of Music & the Arts (ESOMA) in South San Jose! This amazing school provides youth and adults with top-notch music, dance, and arts education." He also commended their partnerships with local school districts and scholarship offerings.
