California State University, Monterey Bay recently issued the following announcement.
CSUMB shoots a season-low 29.5 percent from the floor in 69–55 setback
Cal State Monterey Bay suffered through its worst shooting night of the season Thursday night to fall to Cal State Dominguez Hills, 69–55, at The Torodome.
CSUMB shot just 29.5 percent from the floor (18–for–61), not only it low percentage of the season, but its lowest since Jan. 31, 2019 when they shot 27.6 percent against Cal Poly
Pomona. The Otters did themselves no favors by going just 13–for–23 from the free-throw line, allowing the Toros to keep their lead in the nine to 15 point range for most of the
second half.
Junior guard Levi Frankland (Gold Coast, Queensland, Aust.) broke out of a mini slump to lead the Otters with 17 points. Fellow Aussie Andrew Ferguson (Perth, Western Aust.)
added his sixth double–double of the season with 10 points and a career–high 17 rebounds.
CSUMB (12–6, 11–4 CCAA) heads to the other Bay area to take on Cal State East Bay Saturday in its final regular season road game of the season.
