Rep. Jimmy Panetta, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 19th District, recently shared several updates on his activities and priorities through social media posts. His communications reflect ongoing efforts in foreign policy, public safety, and constituent services.

On November 25, 2024, Rep. Panetta highlighted the importance of Congressional oversight in U.S. foreign aid by stating that "Members of Congress need to see firsthand how U.S. assistance is having a positive impact in Ukraine’s fight for democracy." He mentioned leading a bipartisan letter urging the Biden Administration to lift restrictions on Congressional travel to Ukraine.

In another post dated November 26, 2024, Rep. Panetta discussed local public safety initiatives. He noted having a "Good discussion with a local sheriff about the partnership needed between all levels of government to bolster public safety throughout California’s 19th Congressional District."

Further emphasizing his commitment to constituent services, on November 26, 2024, he reported success in resolving tax refund delays for one of his constituents: "Fighting for constituents so that they get what they’re owed from the federal government and the IRS is a top priority for me." He detailed efforts resulting in over $6,500 being returned to the individual.
