Monterey Peninsula College enrolls 8,017 undergrads

At Monterey Peninsula College, 57 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Monterey enrolled 8,017 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 11.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

92 percent of undergraduates are residents of California. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (45 percent) and white (33 percent).
