Are you interested in Monterey County’s economic future? The County of Monterey’s Economic Development Committee may just have the opportunity for you.
The Economic Development Committee advises the Board of Supervisors on appropriate economic development policies, programs and activities and currently has openings for twelve members representing key economic sectors.
Applications for membership are now being accepted. Members will be appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
To serve on this committee, applicants must reside in, own a business located in, or be employed in Monterey County and represent one of twelve key economic sectors. Seats representing the following sectors are now being filled:
• Micro Business
• Minority Owned Business
• Higher Education
• Finance
• Healthcare
• Labor
• Tourism
• Climate and Clean Energy
• Construction
• Non-profit or Community Member
• Agriculture
• Research and Development
The committee meets bi-monthly, special meetings may be called as needed.
