The Monterey Park City Council extends our deepest sympathy and condolences to our neighbors in Los Angeles in wake of the attacks against members of the Jewish community on February 15 and 16, 2023.

Mayor Jose Sanchez shared, “These acts of senseless gun violence in recent months continue to claim lives of innocent people and have no place in our communities or in our country. The Monterey Park City Council stands united with the City of Los Angeles in denouncing anti-Semitism, hate crimes and gun violence. We send our thoughts to the victims, their families and the entire community affected by this heinous attack. We are committed to supporting communities that have experienced the pain of gun violence and share in your grief.”
