Rep. Jimmy Panetta, serving California's 19th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, has addressed several key issues through his recent tweets. Panetta, who was born in Washington D.C., and currently resides in Carmel Valley, holds a BA from the University of California, Davis and a JD from Santa Clara University.

On November 18, 2024, Rep. Panetta highlighted concerns regarding reduced hours at the Spreckels Post Office. He stated: "The reduced hours at the Spreckels Post Office are a challenge for residents who rely on it for bills, packages, and medications. I’m committed to working our community to find solutions that ensure that the USPS continues to properly serve CA-19."

Later that day, he expressed gratitude for receiving an award: "Proud to receive the Congressional Member of the Year award from American Veterans. Appreciate their partnership in advancing veteran-focused legislation like my VSO Equal Tax Treatment Act, ensuring critical support for organizations serving those who served us."

In another tweet posted on November 18th as well, Panetta emphasized environmental concerns: "Salt marshes like Elkhorn Slough play a crucial role in capturing carbon and supporting biodiversity. As we face record-breaking global temperatures, we must protect and restore these vital ecosystems for a more sustainable future."
