Rep. Jimmy Panetta, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 19th district since 2017, has recently taken to social media to address various issues and accomplishments. On November 19, 2024, Rep. Panetta expressed concern over potential reductions in Medicare reimbursements for physicians. He announced his involvement in bipartisan legislation aimed at preventing these cuts, emphasizing the importance of proper compensation for healthcare providers to ensure patient access remains unaffected. "Looming cuts to physician reimbursements under Medicare could further strain providers and harm patient access. I’m co-leading bipartisan legislation to stop these cuts and properly compensate doctors for care."

Later that day, he highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance postal services for residents of Spreckels by advocating for adjustments to post office hours and exploring innovative solutions such as package lockers. His commitment reflects a broader objective of ensuring reliable postal services across communities. "I’m continuing to meet with Spreckels residents and USPS staff, advocate for adjustments to post office hours, and explore new options like package lockers to improve access."
