The Pajaro Regional Flood Management Agency (“PRFMA”) was recently approved as a Joint Powers Authority.

Monterey County issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.

The Pajaro Regional Flood Management Agency (“PRFMA”) was recently approved as a Joint Powers Authority (“JPA”) made up of five member agencies: the City of Watsonville, the County of Monterey, the County of Santa Cruz, the Monterey Water Resources Agency, and Zone 7 of Santa Cruz County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. 

The purpose of the PRFMA is to exercise the common powers of the Member Agencies to reduce flood risk to lives and property. 

The PRFMA’s first Board of Director meeting will be held on September 8, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the City of Watsonville City Council Chambers, located at 275 Main St., Top Floor, Watsonville, CA.
