Rep. Jimmy Panetta, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 19th district, has been vocal on social media about various issues affecting his constituents and the nation. His recent tweets address concerns ranging from veteran affairs to federal funding and healthcare cuts.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Panetta expressed concern over the impact of federal workforce reductions on veterans. He stated: "Veterans answered the call to serve our country. Now, they're being pushed out of the federal workforce by reckless cuts from Trump and Musk. This is a disgrace. We must always serve those who served our country, not throw them aside."

Later that day, he shared details about a meeting with local officials regarding financial aid for Santa Cruz County: "Productive meeting with Santa Cruz County Supervisors & staff on FEMA reimbursements and federal funding." He emphasized his commitment to overcoming bureaucratic hurdles to ensure necessary resources reach affected communities.

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Panetta highlighted potential consequences of proposed budget cuts by the Majority party: "The Majority’s proposed budget proposes at least $880 billion in cuts from Medicaid, ACA premium assistance, and key health care programs." He warned that these reductions could leave over 163,000 people in his district without coverage.
