The City of Seaside seeks a qualified consultant firm to submit a response to the Request for Qualifications for a Parks Master Plan. The purpose of a Parks Master plan is to provide guidance to the City Council, Parks and Recreation Commission, staff, other advisory committees, and to the community as to the actions necessary to carry out the intent of the City of Seaside’s Comprehensive Plan. This process should provide staff, commission, committees, and community involvement. The resulting Parks Master Plan should cover all aspects of City parks, trails, and recreation operations including facility and programming strategies; operations and maintenance standards; facility and park improvement timelines and priorities; current and future program criteria; and revenue sources.
The City’s selection committee will compare submittals against the mandatory criteria. A combination of objective and subjective criteria will be used to determine each consultant’s suitability to perform this work. Following the review and selectin process, it is the intention of the City of Seaside’s Recreation Department to negotiate a contract with one consultant.
Information on how to submit a proposal is available on the homepage of the City website at www.ci.seaside.ca.us and the full proposal is available by visiting bit.ly/RFQSEASIDEPARKS2022.
