On November 22, 2024, Rep. Panetta expressed enthusiasm over President Obama's visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. He stated, "Great to see President Obama at the Monterey Bay Aquarium highlighting the beauty, bounty, and importance of our oceans. Proud that our Central Coast continues to inspire efforts to protect marine life and educate future generations."

Later that day, he announced the reopening of Nacimiento-Fergusson Road after critical repairs were completed with federal support. In his tweet from November 22, 2024, he mentioned his ongoing commitment to community infrastructure by stating: "Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd is back in service! I was proud to fight for federal support to ensure these critical repairs and restore this vital connection.
