Rep. Jimmy Panetta, currently serving California's 19th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities and initiatives aimed at benefiting his constituents and the broader community. Panetta, who has held his congressional seat since 2017 after succeeding Sam Farr, took to social media on April 18, 2025, to discuss his efforts in ensuring sustainable resources, supporting local engagement, and boosting technological development through federal investments.

In a post dated April 18, 2025, Panetta stated, “Had a productive meeting with the leadership at Marina Water. It’s crucial that we continue working together to ensure reliable water and sustainable solutions for our communities.” This signifies his ongoing commitment to fostering environmental collaboration to meet the demands of his constituency.

On the same day, Panetta shared, “Great to be back in South San Jose for another round of office hours. I always appreciate the chance to connect one-on-one, hear your concerns, and be here to help.” These office hours reflect his dedication to maintaining direct and open communication with his constituents, allowing him to stay informed and responsive to their needs.

Later that day, Panetta highlighted a federal initiative, expressing pride in its outcomes. He announced, “Proud to help bring significant federal investment to Nokia's new photonics chip facility in South San Jose and CA-19. This fab means jobs, training, and opportunity, for our community and our country. This is what the CHIPS Act was meant to do.” This initiative emphasizes his role in advancing technological infrastructure and securing economic benefits for the region through significant legislative measures.

Residing in Carmel Valley, Panetta brings a rich educational background with degrees from the University of California, Davis, and Santa Clara University.
