Jimmy Panetta, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 19th district since 2017, has taken to social media to highlight various community and educational initiatives. U.S. Rep. Jimmy Panetta, who succeeded Sam Farr, has experienced numerous facets of public service from his legal education at Santa Clara University to his current role in Congress. On April 17, 2025, Panetta commented on the recent development of a Nokia semiconductor hub in South San Jose. He stated,

"Nokia’s new semiconductor hub in South San Jose is a bright spot for our community and an example of federal investment in action. With hundreds of good-paying jobs and apprenticeships, we’re proving that advanced manufacturing can thrive right here in CA-19."Later the same day, Panetta engaged with students at the Naval Postgraduate School. He remarked on the experience, saying,

"Great to speak with students at the Naval Postgraduate School about service, leadership, and the work we’re doing in Congress to invest in the men and women who serve. Their commitment inspires my continued efforts to support our military and national security."Panetta also addressed social services in a tweet, expressing his support for a collaborative effort. He asserted,

"Together we must stand with the Pajaro Valley Collaborative and all those fighting to protect CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and essential services our communities rely on."Besides his political career, Jimmy Panetta was born in Washington, D.C., in 1969 and resides in Carmel Valley. He is a University of California, Davis alumnus, graduating in 1991, and attained his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University in 1996.
