Noche Buena Street Emergency Storm Drain Improvements
1701 Noche Buena Street & 1700 Laguna Street
The City of Seaside has retained Monterey Peninsula Engineering to construct the Noche Buena Street Emergency Storm Drain Improvements Project. Pre-construction activities began on November 1, 2022, and actual construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on December 19, 2022, and will continue for approximately three months.
The project construction includes the replacement of existing storm drain infrastructure in the intersection of Noche Buena Street and Mingo Avenue and the trenchless repair of existing storm drain infrastructure between Noche Buena Street and Laguna Street. The project will also entail repairs to pedestrian sidewalks and asphalt pavement. The work area will be at the intersection of Noche Buena Street and Mingo Avenue, as well as on the 1600 to 1700 block of Laguna Street.
Traffic and pedestrian control will be in place for public safety. Through lanes may be closed, sidewalks at intersections may be closed, and on-street parking may be restricted. A detour option and flaggers will be provided if roads are closed to through traffic; motorists should expect delays.
