Monterey Peninsula Engineering started construction of the FY 2021/2022 Del Monte Manor Storm Drain Improvements Project on June 21, 2022, for the City of Seaside. The project is scheduled to continue through February of 2023.
The Project construction includes the construction of a storm water infiltrator, regrading of the storm water retention basin, storm drain improvements in Yosemite Street and Sonoma Avenue, construction of an irrigation system, fencing, landscaping, and sidewalk and roadway paving. All work scheduled to take place in the 1400 block of Yosemite Street and the 1600 block of Sonoma Avenue has been completed. The remaining work involves powering the irrigation system and installing flow monitoring equipment within the project boundary.
Traffic delays, roadway closures, or sidewalk closures resulting from this work are not anticipated. Brief power interruptions may occur during the power connection of the irrigation system, which is expected to take place in February 2023.
