San Pablo Pedestrian Bridge Assessment

1700 Block of San Pablo Avenue

Whitson Engineers and Consor Engineers will be performing a structural assessment of the San Pablo Pedestrian Bridge, for the City of Seaside. The assessment is tentatively scheduled to occur in mid-December 2022. The bridge spans the 1700 block of San Pablo Avenue, connecting Lincoln-Cunningham Park and Manzanita-Stuart Park.

The assessment includes the evaluation of the pedestrian bridge abutments, decking, railing, and structural members. The site work is anticipated to take one day to complete.

During the assessment, traffic and pedestrian control will be in place for public safety. Parking will be restricted on the 1700 block of San Pablo Avenue, and lane closures may be required; motorists should expect delays. The pedestrian bridge is currently closed out of precaution. The pedestrian bridge will remain closed to pedestrians until the assessment report is completed. The report is expected to be completed in January 2023.

If you have any questions about the work, please contact Patrick Grogan at (831) 899-6885, or by email at pgrogan@ci.seaside.ca.us.
