Rep. Jimmy Panetta, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 19th district, shared updates on his recent efforts and engagements through a series of tweets. Panetta, who has been in office since 2017 after succeeding Sam Farr, highlighted initiatives ranging from local recovery efforts to international collaboration.

On December 3, 2024, Rep. Panetta announced that he had secured FEMA support for the removal of CZU fire debris from Swanton Pacific Ranch. He described this as "a critical step in our recovery" and emphasized its importance for maintaining the ranch as a hub for sustainable agriculture and environmental resilience learning. "Proud to have secured FEMA support to remove CZU fire debris from Swanton Pacific Ranch, a critical step in our recovery and work to ensure this institution can continue on as a hub for sustainable ag and environmental resilience learning."

Later that day, at 22:30 UTC, Rep. Panetta shared his advocacy efforts on behalf of a local veteran seeking more in-home assistance. The veteran was initially deemed ineligible for additional caregiver hours; however, Panetta intervened with the VA to secure extra shifts aimed at alleviating the family's burden. "Proud to fight for a local veteran seeking more in-home assistance. He previously was told that he wasn’t eligible for additional caregiver hours. I pushed the VA to provide him with additional shifts to ease the burden on him and his family."

In another tweet posted on December 4, 2024, at 00:30 UTC, Rep. Panetta recounted a productive meeting with representatives from Rwanda focused on global security and stability issues. He expressed gratitude for their partnership and commitment to addressing security challenges collaboratively."Productive meeting with representatives from Rwanda to discuss our shared commitment to global security and stability. Grateful for their partnership and dedication to addressing pressing security challenges through collaboration."
