Rep. Jimmy Panetta, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 19th district, shared several updates via social media on December 13, 2024. His posts highlighted his ongoing legislative efforts and constituent services.

In one of his posts from December 13, Rep. Panetta emphasized the challenges faced by mail carriers in California's 19th district during the holiday season. He stated, "In CA-19 mail carriers handle thousands of pieces each day during the holidays. I’m continuing to fight for my bipartisan legislation to ensure the federal government steps up to protect them as they make their appointed rounds."

Later that day, he shared another update regarding his assistance to a local non-profit organization experiencing difficulties with the IRS. According to Panetta's post on December 13, "A local non-profit, offering garden-based learning, was having challenges with the IRS and contacted me for help. I was able to set the IRS straight and secure $281K in tax credits that they were owed so that the non-profit could continue their work for our community."

In a subsequent post on December 13, Rep. Panetta discussed his Combating Illicit Xylazine Act, which has garnered significant support from various stakeholders. He mentioned that it has "101 bipartisan cosponsors and endorsements from law enforcement and veterinarians," adding that it is crucial to include this act in year-end legislation to address trafficking issues and save lives.
