Rep. Jimmy Panetta, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 19th district since 2017, recently shared several updates on his activities and engagements via social media. Panetta, born in Washington D.C. and currently residing in Carmel Valley, is known for his commitment to community service and constituent engagement.
On January 30, 2025, Rep. Panetta expressed his appreciation for local firefighters by presenting them with a flag from the U.S. Capitol. He stated, "Honored to present a flag from the U.S. Capitol to our dedicated firefighters in Monterey. Thank you for your unwavering service and commitment to protecting our community."
Later that day, he highlighted his efforts to maintain direct communication with constituents through open office hours. He remarked, "Holding open office hours is one of the many ways that I connect directly with my constituents. Thank you to those who shared their ideas and concerns."
Additionally, Rep. Panetta participated in cultural celebrations within his district by joining the Vietnamese community in South San Jose for Tet festivities on January 30, 2025. He noted the importance of honoring traditions while looking forward to future prospects: "A joy to join the vibrant Vietnamese community in South San Jose to celebrate Tet and welcome the Lunar New Year. Grateful for the opportunity to honor traditions and look forward to the future."
