Rep. Jimmy Panetta, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 19th district, shared updates on local initiatives and federal impacts in a series of tweets on February 1, 2025. Panetta highlighted efforts to enhance community resources and support services.

In his first tweet, Panetta expressed gratitude towards the Santa Cruz County Office of Education and local partners for launching "Sus Derechos," a resource aimed at providing families with access to their rights and support services. He stated, "Every working family deserves to feel safe & informed. Grateful to the Santa Cruz County Office of Education & local partners for launching Sus Derechos, a resource for families to access their rights & support services."

Later that day, he emphasized the role of federal investments in improving local communities by announcing the opening of a new facility at Scotts Valley High School. He tweeted, "The federal government actually makes an impact at the local level by investing in projects and programs that make our lives better. This week, we officially opened the Student Wellness Center at Scotts Valley High."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Panetta reflected on his ongoing commitment as a federal representative amidst challenges faced under the current administration.
