Rep. Jimmy Panetta, a current U.S. Congressman representing California’s 19th district, shared recent updates via social media regarding his legislative efforts and engagement with constituents. On April 2, 2025, he discussed various topics, including budget cuts and community outreach activities. Panetta has held his congressional seat since 2017, succeeding Sam Farr. He graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 1991 and obtained his JD from Santa Clara University in 1996.

On April 2, 2025, Panetta expressed concerns about the potential impact of the Majority’s proposed reconciliation budget cuts. In a post, he highlighted that these cuts "could greatly affect access to Medicaid, hitting new mothers, children, seniors & working families across CA." He reiterated his commitment to uniting for action during his 14th town hall meeting.

In another post on the same day, Panetta emphasized his ongoing efforts to engage with residents. "From my 14 town halls to my numerous round tables, I’m reaching out to you to hear your voice," he noted. He announced office hours scheduled for April 4th in South San Jose, inviting constituents to discuss federal issues such as Social Security, Medicare, and VA benefits.

Later, Panetta tweeted about a meeting with local blueberry producers. He reported, "I had a productive meeting with local blueberry producers to discuss a strong Farm Bill, disaster assistance, and new markets." He stressed the importance of supporting growers to benefit the broader economy, food security, and rural communities.
