Rep. Jimmy Panetta of California's 19th district, continues his legislative focus on key issues such as affordable housing, law enforcement support, and trade policy. Serving in Congress since 2017, Panetta has a notable presence on social media, underscoring his initiatives and community engagement.

On April 8, 2025, Panetta highlighted affordable housing as a prevailing concern in his district, stating, "Affordable housing continues to be THE issue in the 19th Congressional District. That’s why I will continue to push for the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act to expand the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and incentivize the development of more affordable housing."

Acknowledging law enforcement efforts, Panetta posted on April 9, 2025, expressing his respect for the work of the Monterey County Peace Officers Association. He wrote, "Honored to join the Monterey County Peace Officers Association to recognize this year’s awardees and remember those we’ve lost, including Sgt. Ryan Kenedy and Joy Junsay. I’ll always fight in Congress to ensure our law enforcement professionals have the support they deserve."

Later the same day, Panetta conveyed his commitment to trade policy reform with the introduction of the Reclaim Trade Powers Act. On April 9, 2025, he stated, "Proud to author and introduce the Reclaim Trade Powers Act which would repeal outdated authorities and ensure that Congress, not a president, has authority over tariffs and our nation’s trade policy."
