Representative Jimmy Panetta, currently serving California's 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his initiatives via social media. Panetta, who has been in office since 2017 after succeeding Sam Farr, posted about various community and healthcare efforts.

On January 31, 2025, Panetta expressed his support for the Scotts Valley High Wellness Center by highlighting federal funding aimed at providing students with mental health resources. He stated, "Excited to support the Scotts Valley High Wellness Center with federal funding to offer students a space to relax, recharge, and receive critical mental health support. Thanks to this collaborative effort, we’re tackling the youth mental health crisis."

The following day on February 1, he visited nine new homes built by Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County (HabitatSLO). He praised these efforts by saying, "It was great to walk through the nine new homes built by @HabitatSLO. These homes will provide hardworking families with stability, self-sufficiency, and a place to call their own. Proud to support efforts that strengthen our community through affordable homeownership."

Later on February 1st, Panetta announced his collaboration with Representative John Joyce in reintroducing a bipartisan bill concerning Medicare beneficiaries' access to in-home heart rehabilitation services. He noted that such measures could ease healthcare burdens: "Ensuring that Medicare beneficiaries have access to critical care from home can improve recovery and ease the burden on our healthcare system. Proud to join Rep. John Joyce in reintroducing the bipartisan bill for in-home heart rehab services."
