Rep. Jimmy Panetta, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 19th district, shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets on February 3, 2025. His statements touched upon law enforcement support and concerns regarding government systems and oversight.

On February 3, 2025, Rep. Panetta highlighted his meeting with a CHP Captain from South San Jose. He stated, "Great meeting with CHP Captain who covers South San Jose to discuss how the federal government can continue supporting our law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to protect public safety. Together, we’ll ensure they have the resources they need to keep our communities safe."

Later that day, Rep. Panetta expressed concerns about access granted to Elon Musk and his team. He remarked, "Reports that Elon Musk, an unelected billionaire, and his team have been granted access to this system raise serious concerns about oversight, accountability, and the Constitutional role of the executive branch."

In another tweet posted at the same time, he emphasized the importance of keeping government payment systems free from political influence. He wrote, "Government payment systems should not be subject to political influence. In Congress, we will demand answers to ensure these critical systems remain secure, independent, and focused on serving the American people, not on fulfilling a political agenda."
