Representative Jimmy Panetta, serving California's 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates on his Twitter account regarding significant political and community issues. These tweets reflect his ongoing efforts to address both national and local concerns.

On March 18, 2025, Rep. Panetta expressed his views on a recent federal court ruling concerning the Trump administration’s employment practices. He stated, "Once again, our system of checks and balances is winning. The firing of dedicated public servants indiscriminately is executive overreach that needed to be checked. A federal judge ruled that the Trump administration’s mass firings were wrong and the employees must be reinstated…"

Later that day, he addressed an issue faced by one of his constituents involving a fraudulent Small Business Administration (SBA) loan. In his tweet, Panetta wrote, "When a constituent discovered a fraudulent SBA loan in her name, I took action. Now, the SBA has confirmed her identity was stolen, disassociated the loan, and stopped any collection efforts. If you need help with a federal agency, I am here to assist."

In another tweet posted on March 18th at 9:00 PM UTC, Panetta invited constituents to participate in an Emergency Virtual Town Hall focused on Social Security concerns. He highlighted challenges such as increased call wait times and impending office closures due to budget cuts: "Just a few hours away! Our Emergency Virtual Town Hall on Social Security starts at 5:00 PM. With call wait times doubling and SSA offices set to close, we must fight back against these reckless cuts. Let’s talk about how."
